Our very own Chris, Val, and Hannah Lorimer will be this season’s performers. The three will showcase their impressive talents that collectively, span more than 100 years! With Chris and Hannah on vocals and Val on the piano, audience members will be treated to a variety of original music, as well as classical, jazz, and musical theatre pieces.

You may know Chris as our Director of Music, and as MwaM’s founder, however he’s also been a professional singer for more than 40 years. Val, a published composer, has been the accompanist for the Chicago Symphony Chorus, the rehearsal pianist for Chamber Opera Chicago, and has collaborated with singers all over the world. Hannah received a degree in Music Performance from Philadelphia’s University of the Arts and has performed extensively on the East Coast.

When asked about the concert Chris said, “While we have performed a great deal in many different venues and for many different occasions, it’s always nice to share an afternoon in our sanctuary, in a soiree-type setting that’s very personal and intimate.”

A goodwill offering from the performance will go to MwaM’s Musicians Fund to enable performers to be hired for future MwaM events.
